THURSDAY, JULY 24, 2014

 

12:00 Bike Parade. Leaving the School Parking Lot. Refreshments served at the Rink after the Parade.

 

2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Teddy Bear Picnic @ Playground/Ball Field. Children 6 and under. Snack provided. No Admission. Bring a Teddy Bear.

 

6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Teeny Bopper Dance on the Rink

Canteen Services available.    

Admission $2.00

 

9:00 - 12:00 Teenage Dance on the Rink. Canteen Services.

Admission $3.00

 

 

FRIDAY, JULY 25, 2014

 

2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Seniors Garden Tea Party @ the Interpretation Centre.

Ages 50 +. Dress for the occasion. Refreshments served.

* Event moved to Sunday 2:00-4:00 p.m.

 

8:00 p.m. Family Bingo at Phoenix Academy (Gym)

16 Games will be played;

4 Games - $20.00   5 Games - $30.00

Eyes to the sky for another spectacular fireworks display to end our Summer Festival.

Flushing of Main Waterline

 

 

Council wishes to advise its residents that the

Main Waterline will be Flushed on

Monday, July 7th, and Tuesday, July 8th, 2014

From 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

You will experience lower pressure and possibly loss of water during the line flushing.

 

As a precaution, a BOIL WATER ADVISORY is issued because the water will not be chlorinated during the Line Flushing.

 

Also, you may experience some discoloured water until the next day. If you experience discoloured water, run your cold water tap until it runs clear.

Council apologizes for any inconvenience.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY

 

THE TOWN OF CARMANVILLE HAS ISSUED A Boil Water Advisory FOR Carmanville As Of Monday, July 7th, 2014.

 

This Boil Water Advisory has been issued as

The water will not be chlorinated during the Flushing of the Main Waterline.

 

Notice of the Lifting of this Advisory will be announced on the town website: townofcarmanville.ca and notices will be posted in local businesses.

Consumers are advised to bring water that you might ingest to a Rigorous Rolling Boil for one (1) minute.

 

For example, boil water used for:

          - drinking                         - cooking

          - brushing teeth                - washing fruits & vegetables

          - making ice                     - making coffee/tea & other hot drinks

          - making juice from concentrate & powders

          - making infant formula and cereal
